Caruso Races in Melbourne City Colours

Caruso Races in Melbourne City Colours

The partnership is the first of its kind in Australia’s A-League and W-League, following Football Federation Australia’s regulations allowing clubs to sign automotive partners for the upcoming 2016/17 season.

To mark the start of this new partnership, the #23 Nissan NISMO Altima Supercar, driven by Nissan Motorsport’s Michael Caruso, will bear Melbourne City FC branding at this weekend’s Townsville 400 round of the V8 Supercars Championship.

Nissan Motorsport recorded a solid start to the Castrol Edge Townsville 400, as Michael Caruso finished inside the Top 10.

The distinctive Melbourne City FC livery of Michael Caruso’s #23 Nissan NISMO, started from 8th on the grid. The team ran long stints for Caruse, briefly leading the race as those around him pitted. His 9th place finish is his eighth Top 10 this year.

MICHAEL CARUSO – #23 NISSAN NISMO ALTIMA
“The race didn’t go to plan, unfortunately. To come away with a Top 10 is a reasonable result considering how the race panned out for us. Qualifying will be crucial tomorrow. It will be full steam ahead for qualifying, and hopefully we can make the Shootout and put ourselves in a good spot for the race.”
