After announcing his move to Ashley Seward Motorsport (ASM) last week, the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce TCR that Michael Caruso will race in this year’s Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series has been unveiled.
Caruso and ASM enter the new season with primary support from British car care treatment manufacturer, Autoglym.
Autoglym’s backing of Caruso and ASM is an extension of the partnership formed last season between GnG Sales, the Australian distributor of Autoglym, and ASM.
The partnership also rekindles a personal association between Caruso and the premium car care brand which dates to 2016.
Robson Civil Projects, another long-time supporter of Caruso, features prominently across the #10 Alfa Romeo, as does leading manufacturer of bearings and mechanical power transmission products, Timken.
Caruso moves into the Giulietta Veloce TCR driven in 2021 by Lee Holdsworth and is familiar with the Italian-built hatchback after piloting a similar example for Garry Rogers Motorsport last season.
The combination of Caruso and ASM head into this weekend’s season-opening round at Symmons Plains, Tasmania with auspicious form.
Caruso has recorded top-3 finishes in four of the last five races including a maiden TCR race victory at Sydney Motorsport Park, while ASM opened its 2021 season in Tasmania with pole position and an opening race win for Holdsworth.
Racing will be available to stream ad-free, live and on demand on Stan Sport, with free-to-air live and replay coverage also available on 9Gem.
