Monster Energy has unveiled its challenger in the 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Championship.
Tim Ryder, Marketing Director, Monster Energy – Oceania, is pleased to have the globally recognisable brand in Australia’s premier motorsport category, and looks forward to seeing the team reach new heights in 2019, when the Mustang makes its Supercars debut.
“Monster Energy’s link with motorsport around the world is an important part of our brand DNA, and we are proud to continue our partnership with Tickford Racing,” Ryder said. “Tickford remains one of the top teams in Supercars, and we look forward to celebrating their continued success in 2019.”
Tickford Racing co-owner, Rod Nash, added his thoughts on retaining one of team’s most popular partners, which has been a naming rights partner since 2016.
“We’ve developed an excellent relationship with Monster Energy on and off the track the past few years,” Nash remarked, “and I’m thrilled that we will get to continue that partnership. There’s much to look forward to in 2019, and we’re glad that Monster share that enthusiasm. There’s a lot of enthusiasm in the media and in our workshop about the coming season, so we’re looking forward to getting out there.”
Caruso is set for his first laps on board the #6 Monster Energy Ford Mustang at the Phillip Island pre-season test on February 14.
“Its been great to have been welcomed so warmly by the team, Cam and the Ford fans. I’m looking forward to my first laps driving the Monster Energy Mustang. There has been a lot of optimism around the Mustang and what it brings to our sport, and I’m sure it will live up to the expectations.”
“It’s also a great chance for me to familiarise myself with a new car, and also with the members of the Tickford race team.”
